This is so timely Sue. After the busy month that I've had it was great to read you tips about making space and breathing. I've been trying to take a bit of slow time in the afternoons. That has worked some days but not every day. As April is coming to an end, life is getting back to normal.
I’m so pleased the tips helped, Jen. I know you’ve been busy and even though it’s all been things you enjoy it can get tiring. I have a busy April and May and then I’m stepping back for a while. I’m also seeing the GP for a check up just to make sure there isn’t anything I need to be concerned about. X
This post spoke to me in the language I know well. It might be up to "us" to be and do for others but it comes at a cost ...as I found out.
I would say now, what I have learned about me in my time of diagnosed emotional exhaustion aka burnout, is that I GAVE and gave until I ran out of all energies.
I know we have talked about this kind of thing before in our social media space but no-one is going to say 'no thank you, not right now' for us.
I think from now I am going to need a prepared set of responses.
I have had a good day & actually getting back to what I want to do but in measured steps. Looking forward to continuing the feeling of getting well. Take care Sue, thinking of you xx
It’s funny how life can feel a little too much even when it’s full of good things. Your advice to find space and some slowness certainly works for me.
I hope you soon feel more like your usual ‘blooming’ self
Thanks, Janine. I’ve been trying to take some time out over the Easter break which has helped. I’m also going to make a Doctor’s appointment for a check up. x
Well said Sue, you always share brilliant things and inspire us all. None of us are perfect and you tell it like it is so many thanks for that.

Hi Denyse I knew you would understand. I like your idea of prepared responses. I must work on that. I hope you are feeling better and resting xx

Oh that’s great news, Denyse. April and May are busy for me but then I will be able to step back for a while x

That’s a good idea - it’s easy to dismiss changes in our energy that might actually need attention
