The last few days of 2024 are upon us. I’ve been for a 45 minute walk and have planned another run for the last day of the year. During 2024 I decided to close the Women Living Well After 50 Facebook Group but did start a smaller group the WLWA50 Daily Exercise Challenge Group.
It’s an intimate group and the aim of the group is to inspire and motivate each other to do at least 30 minutes of some form of exercise each day. We then check in with what we have. There is no judgement, just encouragement, and it is a relaxed group. There are many groups out there if you want a more indepth ‘coaching’ style. For me, I wanted the group as much for myself as the other members. It helps me to stay on track and have some type of accountability without pressure.
Going into 2025, I will be sharing more health and wellness tips as well as healthy recipes for us all to try. I’ll also be encouraging members to do the same.

Living well in 2025 by planning a healthy & active lifestyle
Do you like to plan? Do you put your workouts in your calendar or do you just do what you feel like on any given day?
Planning works for me. I’m a list girl and like to tick things off the box when they are completed. I also find that planning keeps me motivated to do things. I don’t have to think about it as I’ve already planned what I’m going to do.
Of course, life can have a habit of getting in the way but having a plan helps me get back on track.
For 2025, I have purchased a diary to log my workouts and other health related activities to keep me on track. I’m treating it like a health journal not only for workouts but to note recipes I might like to try and health appointments I need to make.
I will also include how much water I drink, how I’m feeling mentally and other things I might think of as the year progresses. It will be my health bible as it will contain the dates that I’ve had screening tests and blood tests done and when they are next due.
